I had a subscriber ask for our Electrolyte drink recipe I mention in this video.

We make 64 oz at a time, use a large mason jar. We use a flip top lid to make it less messy.

The amounts of ingredients are dependent on your taste. Experiment with changing the ratios.

We only use Reverse Osmosis (RO) water for any drinking and cooking. Not bottled, but from an actual RO system.

Start with about 2 cups of warm water in order to "melt" the honey.

Add 1/4- 1/2 cup local honey. If you want to limit the sugar you can just a bit of honey, because without it, the tart cherry is way too tart.

Add 1/2 to 1 cup of Organic Tart Cherry concentrate. Use the glass bottle versions, as plastic leaches more in acids and fats.

Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of Organic Lime or Lemon Juice. Use glass version.

Add 1-2 tsp of sea or earth salt.

Optional 1-2 tsp of Calm Magnesium powder. This is useful if you are sweating a lot or using muscles.

Fill the jar with RO and shake the bottle.

Refrigerate in the hot summer, but don't drink directly out of the fridge. Better to have room temp drinks in the summer as Cold/frozen tricks your body into thinking it's cold outside.

Drink 8-16 oz per serving depending on how much you are sweating or needing to rehydrate.

You can also combine with sparkling water or club soda if you want some fizz.

Let us know what you think and your favorite proportions.

Salut!

Cheers, Bill! What a wonderful surprise to find the link to this in my inbox today!

For the last month or so, I have almost exclusively been drinking tea water because of the cold weather. I noticed that I feel quenched and less thirsty when drinking warm tea than when drinking plain water. Your podcast explains it all! Thank you for your insight.
